Welcome Holidays!!!

Well our week has gone pretty well, considering the amount of "events" and the subsequent tiredness of children! We actually just had our day off and it was really good. Best one in a while- we had some good times with the kids and were able to actually rest AND mom was able to get some things done. Always a nice combination.

Tonight we're hosting a bunch (as in as 10-20 or more!) people at our house . . . they are coming to bring and decorate a tree, hang out with our boys, etc. Should be . . . interesting. I'm hoping it's a great chance to share our lives {our lives with the boys} with a bunch of folks from church. And I'm hoping my boys can hold it together so it's a pleasant experience for them and the guests.

I need to go finish getting ready for that (remember, my day ends/starts at 4 pm, so afternoons are short!). Here are a few pictures from the week . . .

First we have a Public Event- we were the honored guests at "Light up Pointe Orlando" and got to watch some singing, dancing, etc. The kids and I stood in the back, while Shannon & her best friend Hannah danced and twirled in the grass. (Yes grass, this is Florida after all!)

Here we are, ready to go! (Hi Melissa, this is where I was texting you from!)

The kids all received 3-D glasses, to look at the lights with (they turned the lights into angels or santas, etc.)

Meeting the teen girl who danced the Nutcracker for us. I don't know who was more excited- the girls meeting her or the "girl" who felt so honored that they would think she was so special.

And Advent . . . so thankful I prepared this last year and in early November or it would NOT be happening.

On the first day of advent . . . we got Christmas Jammies and watched Polar Express!

On the second day of advent . . . we decorated snowflakes with glitter! Now our house will be all glittery for the whole year!

Hope your weekend is special friends!
