Keeping Busy

We've had a pretty good week and I can't believe it's Friday already! I've been trying to come up with some kind of daily "schedule" or routine for us . . . it's hard because Mondays we have staff meeting, Tuesdays a meeting with our caseworker (all at 8:30 when the boys go to school), Thursday mornings we're off. But I think I finally have a "rough" start for us and we'll see how it goes. It's pretty flexible with big chunks of time open, but gives us something to guide our days with.

Kind of like . . .
8:30-10 is meetings, breakfast (if necessary depending on when kids wake up), cleaning, starting our day.

10-11 is Forest napping, Shannon and I either spend the hour gardening or doing "projects"

11-12:30ish- lunch, clean up from lunch, clean up from gardening, etc.

12:30-1:30- play outside or inside

1:30- clean up kids rooms and read books for naps

2-4 kids nap & mommy does "stuff" like scrapbooking, website checking, bill paying, etc.

And then our boys come home! We're working with Daddy to add in things like trips to Borders & the library, grocery shopping and Wednesdays are "family days." I like the idea of having something to keep us on track!

This is what we did today (well this picture isn't from today but this is what Shan looks like after an hour of gardening).
